Medical Overview
Stimson’s medical plans, administered by Regence Group Administrators, include a Health Savings Account to reduce your taxes and save for future medical expenses.

How the Plans Work

You have two high-deductible medical options with an HSA — the Premium and the Standard plan. Both cover the same services and include prescription drug coverage through SmithRx. The only differences between the plans are whether Stimson makes an annual HSA contribution and the monthly premium. Here’s an overview of how the plans work:

  • The Premium and Standard plans include a Health Savings Account (HSA), which allows you to set aside money on a pre-tax basis to pay for eligible expenses now or in the future.
    • Premium plan: Stimson will make automatic quarterly contributions to your HSA based on your pay and who you cover under the planYou can also make pre-tax contributions to your HSA up to IRS limits.
    • Standard plan: You can make pre-tax contributions to your HSA up to IRS limits.
  • With both medical plan options, Stimson will contribute to your HSA when you (and your spouse/domestic partner) participate in the wellness program.
  • You can use any provider you want, but you’ll pay less when you use in-network providers. Go to the RGA Provider Directory to find in-network providers (enter your location and search by your doctor’s name).
  • Preventive care from an in-network provider is covered 100% with no deductible.
  • You pay for most other services, including prescription drugs, until you meet the annual deductible. Then you pay 10%, and the plan pays the balance. Once you meet the out-of-pocket maximum, the plan pays 100% of covered expenses.
  • You have access to telemedicine through MDLive. For details, go to Medical Services.
