Automatic Benefits

Stimson automatically provides the following benefits to eligible employees.

401(k) Plan
  • 4% of your eligible compensation will be automatically deducted from your paycheck on a pre-tax basis. Your first contribution will be deducted from your paycheck 30 days after you are eligible. For example, if you are hired May 16, you are eligible to participate on June 1, and your first contribution will be deducted from your paycheck on or after June 30.
  • Stimson automatically matches 100% of the first 6% of eligible compensation you contribute.
  • Your contribution and Stimson’s are invested in the Vanguard Target Retirement Fund that most closely matches your expected retirement year (assuming retirement at age 65).
  • You can make changes to your 401(k) plan contribution rate (increase, decrease or stop your contribution) and investment options at any time. Log on to Fidelity NetBenefits or call the Fidelity Service Center at 800-835-5097.
Basic Life/AD&D
  • Hourly employee benefit: $20,000
  • Salaried employee benefit: One times annual compensation, up to $350,000

Stimson pays the full cost of your coverage.

Short Term Disability (STD)
  • Hourly employee benefit: Replaces 60% of your weekly earnings. The minimum benefit is $25 per week, and the maximum benefit is $800 per week.
  • Salaried employee benefit: Replaces 100% of your weekly earnings, with a minimum benefit of $25 per week.
  • STD benefits are paid for up to 26 weeks for a qualified medical condition.

Stimson pays the full cost of your coverage.

 Long Term Disability (LTD) Replaces 60% of your annual compensation, up to $10,000 per month. Stimson pays the full cost of your coverage.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • You and your dependents have 24/7 access to free and confidential counseling and referral services for help with a variety of issues and concerns.
  • Coverage begins the day you’re hired.
